Busy Life, and Busy Oils....

So we have been doing the funky fungi feet for a while, and we have added our youngest son's acne treatment too. So we have been following the course of oily treatments and I will add photos this weekend. Between finishing up homeschooling year, and part time work, and doing oils full time, helping the hubs with his school (he is finishing his Masters). Doing family things, visiting family, getting to functions, extra curricular activities, and all those fun things I have been slow on blogging. Now I have a set schedule to blog..... Monday, Wednesday, Friday and perhaps Sat or Sun.... this way I can keep all you fine folks up to snuff on these great oils. Now as always these are a personal ideology and by no means should be used to treat illness without an okay from a Physician.

We also are doing the Ningxia Red.... 1oz daily for us all. It does a body good. I have included a photo so y'all can see how good it is.

So added onto our crazy schedule I am doing the petrochemical weight loss challenge. It involves Citrus Fresh and Ledum ( One 15ml bottle of CF to 10 drops of Ledum....so I added 20 ). It blends overnight and we will put it on tomorrow night along with 15 drops of Grapefruit in a capsule.
I also have added Progessence Plus nightly on my neck and forearms. This is to help me with my moodiness and PCOS.... fibro and a few other fun things :)

So Next week we go to Miami to visit family and to do some oily Classes. I will post photos.

God Bless,
The Oily Sanchez Family.....

Hubby's funky fungi toes

Say HELLO to my stinky little friends... ok they are not my friends but my husband's feet. My husband has been a Marine for about 12 years. He wears combat boots everyday and then generally flip flops when he is off, around the house, of course this depends on the weather. Since we live in Missouri we have cold, rainy, muddy, snowy, icky days so that calls for shoes. We used an OTC (over the counter) spray daily that contained "100% pure tea tree oil" We seen no results. So with that said we have started to treat them with what we know to be 100% PURE LOVE.... (thank you Ronnie Milsap) Mel A. aka Tea Tree Oil. We decided for the heck of it (ok I decided and he is along for the ride) we would throw in Frankincense. I mean why not... sounded like a good idea at the time. Still sounds like a pretty good idea..... So as I sit here watching my Tivo'd Grey's Anatomy...and smelling the Gentle Baby we are diffusing (because it is really calming on many levels) so as this is the first picture of his toes, we will have more to follow. Have a Great Night!!!

A Day in the Life......

So you are probably wondering what is with these oils.... I have friends on facebook, pinterest, etc.... and they are using them, and posting all these annoying posts. Well they are only annoying because YOU have not found out about them. See oils are not for the faint of heart. They are something that requires dedication.

So... with all that said. I will say, that we use a lot of the oils.... there are about 200 oils (consisting of single oils and blends) and we have about 16. We use them daily. We use vita flex (think chakra's on feet, head, and hands) points and we ingest them. Do they heal? Well I cannot say they do, but what I can say is that they have turned our lives around.

Hubs snores, we have an oil for that. You have pain, we have an oil for that. Got allergies, yep you guessed it, we have an oil. There are oils for low T, and for those who need help with their ladies' issues.
I use Joy. It makes me feel better. It gives me clarity and calms me down. It makes me happy... what Happy you ask?? Yes Happy. It relieves my stress.... and helps. Trust me they know when I skip it. My kiddos and hubs will run and get the bottle... which makes me wonder how they ever put up with me before JOY.

So you probably have questions, thoughts, ponders, and perhaps you want to join. IF you do then ask away. I will answer all questions, and if I do not know I have AWESOME Mentors who will know. See I am not just one person, I am part of a team of a network if you will, an oily network, of people who have tried, and trialed and errored, and wrote it down. They have shared what works for them. Plus I have an Oily Bible.

So if you have, Low T, Hormone fluctuations, Pain, Sciatica, Fibromyalgia, or any other issues. Let's see how we can help fix those and make your day much better. Oils are the way to go.

The Start of my Oily Journey

Hey Y'all!! So this is my blog, about a girl, a guy, their kids and dog. Plus the everyday journey of into Essential oils. Not just any essential oils but Young Living Essential Oils. Why, Young Living Essential Oils, You ask? Well the answer is really simple enough. Not all oils are created equally. Most oils are chemically (ewww YUCK) distilled. While Young Living are all STEAM (yes you heard me right folks) distilled. See what this means is that all those nasty yucky chemicals are left out. It means NOTHING BUT, the Wholesome OILY goodness is left. 100% PURE LOVE.
So... let me start where all good stories start.... In the Beginning there was nothing... oh wait that is toooooo far back. Let's rewind to October(fest) in Downtown Lee's Summit... yes good old German food, lots of rambunctious kids hollerin' and screamin' about. I smell an intriguing scent.... I ask my huni "do you smell that" he was like oops sorry.... :D so... I kept smelling it... it smelled utterly Divine. UTTERLY. Much like the Toucan, I followed my nose.... straight to a booth.... that was diffusing an intriguing smell... cloves, citrus, cinnamon.... oh my Lord how I was in L.O.V.E. I met a very nice couple (whom would become great friends in Christ and our Mentors) who were selling YLEO's. Now, being a holistic person I know that oils, herbs, spices, etc, can help you ward off illness, I cannot tell you how many "home brew" cough syrup's my kiddo's have had. How many times have I poured my "magical elixir" (as my awesome Sister calls it) down my hubs throat.... Yet I digress... anywhoot, we meet Amy and her hubby and they tells us all about this oil... called Thieves.... (so because I read a lot and remember from a herbal class) I am instantly curious IF this oil is as good as the oils of the black plague.... We speak and I get her information and leave my Digits... yes she called... and there began my love affair.... WITH OILS... not Amy lol although she is pretty spectacular.  Fast forward a few months, life happens, jobs lost, jobs found (because Amy helped us out there too), we pray a lot. Pray for guidance (***DISCLAIMER*** I am a Christian. I walk the walk I talk, so if that offends/bothers/irritates you perhaps this blog is no for you Capisce? ) So praying praying praying... I attend a SHINE event and lemme tell Y'all... if you have not attended one of these awesome events you are truly missing out... no seriously you are. So here we are, new jobs, new schedules, new, new, new..... and I am loving the idea of helping people with essential oils. I tell my better half (don't tell him I said that, his head will swell) I want to do this. Wholly, mind and spirit. SO we talk, and we get a phone call from Amy, she said.... well the entire convo is kinda in between me doing things and TA-DA I (actually WE are) am now the brand NEW owner of a Premium Starter Kit...... We take it home. I break into it... because I am excited to start oiling up.....
So lemme pause here and tell you a few of my "issues" I have fibromyalgia, Osteo-Arthritis, sluggish Thyroid(although.... it is now working properly) PCOS, and chronic pain in my hips, knees, and shoulder oh and I am "well nourished"... let's just say that if ever a Zombie Apocalypse happens I could go a few days without eating and that is just me, if we add Peeps to it then well it would have arthritis and well that's it.

So I read the paperwork, the recipes, I google, pintrest, facebook.... I am excited because of all the possibilities...
I start small because well I am curious but I am scared that they will not work. I start with Lemon oil in my water... and I detox, and boy howdy do I..... I add peppermint for appetite, which works heavenly.... However, I am wondering what about pain/discomfort, and irritability.... So I bust out the coconut oil.... and I wait.
Few days later....I am in a lot of crazy pain... so I use PanAway.... wow... talk about relief. On a 10 scale it is down a wee bit.... so I ask questions (because one thing you are not if you have Mentor's such as mine) I get told to add Peppermint so.... I do... I layer it.... pain.... is down.... but not gone.... I reapply... often... so fast forward.........
It is a month later.... we are telling people we know about it..... having facebook classes (courtesy of Amy as well.....) I begin really exploring my Pocket Reference Guide. I also won a copy of Chemical Free Home... which is a Godsend. I make chest rubs, lip balms, aphid/spider sprays, Furbaby spray, "skinny" water, I also found a pain rub that works for me and that is saying a lot.
As for the kiddo, we made a face (anti blemish/zit/pimple/acne) scrub. We added Mel. A. to Shampoo for dandruff, and well... I made a few feet/bone/muscle/ soaks.... However, we cannot forget about fungi foot.... You know jungle rot toes.... aka unsightly toenails.... eww... I have pics.... we are treating that...

So here it begins my journey... and they say it begins with a story, and this my friends is my story. How God, brought me to His Oils. How he brought me new friends.... So Welcome to My Oily Life.... Where getting oily is quite simply Life Changing.....

In Christ,
Cindy

Grocery market vs. Farmers Market

Hello readers,
I have some money saving tips involving the grocer's vs farmer's markets. If you are able to get to your local farmer's markets then by all means do. Not only are you helping to support local farms but the produce is ORGANIC there is no middle man and most oft times it is cheaper than the grocery store. I know that tomatoes tend to be a bit pricey anywhere but I have found the best if I cannot get them from my garden is ones grown at the farmer's market. I buy mine from the Amish, they also have canners (tomatoes with blemishes that we use to can) I suggest you buy them. Most times you can get a flat of canners for less than 15 bucks. That pretty cheap. You have to take into consideration that they generally do not use any pesticide no seven dust and they pick those big icky tomato bugs off the plants by hand.. one by one.. they also put time in and it takes a lot to have a huge garden with an abundance of produce. If you have to shop at a grocery market please use coupon's or price match any wal-mart will do it. Or Trader Joe's always has really good produce. If you are in the Midwest you have Hy-Vee's and they allow farmers in the area to sell their excess produce in there. I encourage you to buy fresh, local and help a farmer out.
I also want to take a moment and say grow a small garden. It is cheap and well worth it. If you do not have time to weed a garden mulch it or use the grow paper. It keeps weeds out.
Until next time.... Enjoy

Lesson number one on saving money... did you know that when you leave things like your television, stove, microwave, washer, dryer...etc. plugged in you are using energy. This costs you money a few cents a day but those cents add up into dollars. Unplug what you do not use and when you go on trips unplug everything but of course your freezer and fridge.

Number two: plant a garden, even if you live in an apartment with only balcony space you can be an urban gardener. You also can find a garden co-op in your neighborhood that will allow you to "rent" space either for some produce or if you will make sure the land is taken care of. You can plant what you like and you know where it comes from, and what is on it. Peace of mind. I call this... nothing like it.

Urban planting... I find I like the pallet garden. This is where you obtain a pallet most places give them away such as grocery stores or farm and home stores. You can use trash bags that have been cut at the seem as a backing. If it is a vertical garden leave the top open but if it is a horizontal garden seals the back and all sides. Then you want good soil and hummus (type of manure) mixture. Put the dirt through the slats or top and then figure out what plants you want where..Then plant. You can start seeds or but the seedlings at your local nursery or Hardware store. Also those tubs that you store stuff in make really good potato bins that you can grow potatoes in. DO NOT use your store bought potatoes as they are prone to disease like blight, use seed potatoes. I have grown them in this container and when they are done I have actually gotten about 70 pounds of potatoes from a 5lb bag of seed potatoes. I used two large storage bins, poked holes in the bottom and three inches from the bottom all the way around. Tada... instant potato grower. I also have used them for tomatoes. I know someone that used even Styrofoam and grown both. They also used the bags of dirt with holes cut in them and planted things like lettuce, spinach. It works.. furthermore it is things that you will eat and cut money off of your grocery bill.

Until next time...
